Korean Comics goes to 40th Angouleme Comics Festival, France
The special exhibition for Korean Comics will be held on Jan. 31st to Feb. 3rd, 2013(local time in France) during the 40th Angouleme International Comics Festival, one of the biggest international comics festivals, in Angouleme, France.
The Angoulême International Comics Festival (French: Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulême) is the largest comics festival in Europe, and the second biggest in the world after the Comiket. It has occurred every year since 1974 in Angoulême, France, in the month of January.
The exhibition will show dynamic history of Korean Comics and Korean “webtoons” at the first time to all the people from the world. Webtoon is a new style comics that releases digital comics through the Web. Its name comes from the "Web" and "cartoon".

Disaster Experience Center in Bucheon City
Today is the day when children have a drill against disaster situation at Bucheon Disaster Experience Center, located in Bucheon Training Center of Civil Defense, Bucheon City, South Korea.
This center has several experience programs for children to prepare for disaster, such as evacuation drill from fire, wearing a gas mask, and practicing artificial respiration.
The center is giving children in winter vacation “Real Experience Against Disaster” till Feb. 15th, 2013. Whoever wants to attend it can apply it by a phone call, +82-32-625-4035 or 4037.

Bucheon City Makes Public Restrooms at the Park Easy and Clean
Sosa-gu, a district of Bucheon City, will spend USD $1.7 million to rebuild parks in 1st half of 2013
Sosa-gu, a district of Bucheon City, revealed its plan to rebuild fifty-nine parks in its area on Jan 29th, 2013. The plan contains changing old facilities into new ones such as playgrounds, rest areas, and restrooms.
For example, Sosa-gu will renew the restroom at Sanse Park in its area. The new restroom will be decorated with clean, easy, and new images. Sosa-gu has employed twelve persons to make the parks clean.

Bucheon City Opens Bus Cartoon Gallery on Local Bus #70-2 and Cartoon Stairs at Bucheon Station
On Jan 24, 2013 Bucheon City and Korea Agency for Cartoon & Picture open Bus Cartoon Gallery on two buses of local line #70-2, which commutes between Bucheon Station and Yoido that is an island in the Han river, Seoul.
The Bucheon’s cartoon character, named “BBAEGOM”, is displayed outside the bus.

Bucheon City Helps Foreign Residents and Multi-cultural Families
3% of Bucheon population is foreigners
There are 26,000 foreign residents in Bucheon city. The numbers of multi-cultural families and foreign workers are getting bigger and bigger.
Bucheon City makes programs to help foreign residents
The center, Bucheon Support Center for Multi-Cultural Families, will release a newspaper for foreigners twice a month. And thirty-six foreign supporters who live in Bucheon City successfully will help new comers and connect them to the Support Center.
Foreign residents are already our neighbors
Mansoo Kim, the mayor of Bucheon City, said that “Bucheon City will do its best to help foreign residents and multi-cultural families to settle down here.They are already our neighbors.”
